A Danish pharmaceutical scientist working at the intersection of analytical rigour and hands-on making. International QA Director at Pharmacosmos A/S, overseeing quality assurance across partners in Asia and European contract manufacturers, with a portfolio centred on IV iron injectables.
Trained as a pharmacist, then as a synthetic and radiolabelling chemist. Twelve years on from the bench, but the habits of record-keeping, of repeating an experiment until it tells the truth, remain the core of the work.
Outside the lab and the audit room, the same habits find other substrates: wort, dough, compost, a 1879 farmhouse, a greenhouse assemblied one easter. There is no separating the scientist from the brewer from the gardener — they are one disposition applied to different media.
Brewtools B80 / F80 with fermentation control. 100+ batches since 2013. Bitter, experimental, hop-forward.
Tempeh, cheese, miso, kombucha, kimchi. A domestic microbiology practice running parallel to the lab.
A vegetable patch, a self-built greenhouse, seasonal cooking with minimal beef. Inputs trace back to their soil.
A 1879 farmhouse, smart-home instrumented, solar array and a 20 kWh battery. Infrastructure as hobby.
Commodore 64 → 80486 → early web. A lifelong technologist; the home is the current laboratory.
Bootcamp / CrossFit weekly, trail running at weekends. An early bird. Moderation in everything except effort.
Ongoing formulation of a personalised oriental spice — cumin, coriander, cardamom, rose. Iterated like a protocol.
The through-line: keep a logbook, vary one parameter, trust the measurement, taste the result.
A home brewery in the village of Gundsølille — founded quietly in 2025 and now assembling an identity. The project borrows from the Scandinavian editorial tradition and from Japanese restraint: small labels, careful sensory notes, ingredients, and process parameters carefully changed from time to time.
The bias is towards bitter IPAs, but the real subject is iteration. Each batch is a controlled experiment; the fermenter is an instrument; the tasting is the assay. The ambition, in time, is a sales permit — until then, the practice is its own reward.
Collaboration with fellow companions. Recipes continued to be developed from early 2009, tasted, and re-developed in a loop that looks, from a distance, very much like the research bench I left in 2013.
This page is set in EB Garamond for the body, JetBrains Mono for the apparatus of numbers and labels, and Noto Serif JP for the handful of Japanese glyphs that act as chapter marks.
The grid is 32 pixels; the accent is a single oxidised red; the paper is a warm off-white calibrated to a lamp rather than a screen. No JavaScript was required. No tracking is present. It is meant to read like a well-made notebook.
Qualifications on file: Cand.Pharm., University of Copenhagen, 2004. Ph.D., Technical University of Denmark, 2010. EU GMP Qualified Person.
For professional correspondence, the institutional channels are the correct route. For brewing, gardening, or a conversation about isotope chemistry — the door is usually open.
